Deep in the heart of the Selous Game Reserve is Beho Beho, a wonderful safari lodge from which visitors can enjoy the superb game viewing for which the area is renowned. The suites, or “bandas” as they are known, are set away from the main house and are wonderfully spacious and comfortable. En-suite bathrooms are found at the rear and there are two verandas on which to relax, as well as traditional Zanzibari day beds within the bedroom. For those looking for something more private, Bailey’s Banda is a self-contained, two-bedroom home with its own plunge pool and dining area. In the main part of the lodge there is an open-plan dining area where meals are served communally, although these are also taken outside should the weather permit. There is a full-sized billiards table and a sparkling swimming pool that boasts stunning views across the Kipalala Valley. A number of activities are included in your stay at Beho Beho including early morning and late afternoon game drives, guided walks in the company of an armed guide, boat trips on Lake Tagalala and visits to the Maji Moto hot springs.
