Perched on the edge of the Etendeka Plateau overlooking the Klip River Valley, the EU funded, community-owned lodge is a benchmark project in community-owned tourism. It has 14 standard and 2 family ensuite chalets with rock walls and thatched rooves to help keep them cool during the day and warm in the evenings. Chalets are spacious with comfortable beds, small writing desks, local decorations and private decks where black eagles are often spotted hunting below them. Guests have access to the dining room and veranda overlooking swimming pool. Staff can arrange elephant and rhino tracking excursions, guided plateau walks and visits to the local community as well as massage treatments.
