Entamanu Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Crater

Set just back from the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater beneath a grove of gently swaying acacia trees, Entamanu Ngorongoro is a wonderful choice for safari purists looking to enjoy the incredible game viewing for which the crater is renowned. This is a small and intimate camp with just six tents including a large family unit. The tents are very spacious and well-furnished with indoor seating areas, well-appointed bathrooms and hardwood floors. There are decking areas at the front of each room which offer panoramic views out across the crater. Thick winter duvets are provided for guest’s comfort and fireplaces are lit each evening. The main part of the lodge is a large open-plan dining and lounge area with a cosy bar, the social hub of the lodge. The food here is excellent, served by charming staff who go above and beyond. Guests at Entamanu can enjoy day trips into the Ngorongoro Crater, complete with a picnic lunch, to enjoy the superb game viewing for which the crater is renowned. They also offer walks in the camp’s surrounding forested area which gives one the opportunity to learn more about the entire Ngorongoro ecosystem.
